Srikrishna Jayanthi Celebration

The Organization of Hindu Malayalees Society of Calgary (OHM) is thrilled to announce the celebration of Srikrishna Jayanthi, featuring the vibrant events of Balagokuladinam and Shobhayathra. This joyous occasion will take place on Monday, August 26, at the Sri Murugan Temple in Calgary.

Event Highlights

Balagokuladinam:  A special celebration for children with fun-filled activities, cultural performances, and educational sessions about the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. This event aims to instill the values and traditions of our rich heritage in the younger generation.

Shobhayathra: A colorful and lively procession capturing the festive spirit of Srikrishna Jayanthi. Young participants will dress beautifully as Krishnas, Radhas, Gopas, and Gopikas, and walk together in joyous unity, accompanied by music and bhajans.

Srikrishna Jayanthi Celebration : The main event honoring the birth of Lord Krishna, with devotional songs, bhajans, and special prayers. The temple will be adorned with flowers and decorations, creating a divine atmosphere for all attendees.
